PRESS RELEASE

Cape Coral, Florida. July 13, 2015.

THE ELEANOR M. NELSEN EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND HAS DISCONTINUED THE GRANTING OF SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS TO THE NEEDY, LOW INCOME, AND DISADVANTAGED STUDENTS OF FLORIDA.

The Eleanor M. Nelsen Educational Scholarship Fund, an Auxiliary of The Nelsen Residence Inc. and The Haven of Divine Love Senior and Disability Center of Cape Coral Florida announced that 52 low income students were the latest victims of the ongoing dispute between The Haven of Divine Love and the City of Cape Coral. The Board of Directors of The Nelsen Residence Inc. announced that 30 student applicants for the fall semester of 2015 would not be able to receive a scholarship grant this year. 22 students were denied grants for the previous 2014 fall semester.

The latest event was the result of over one year of disputes with the City of Cape Coral over the City's claim that a stairway of the 2 story private residence building at 2307 SE 15th Place was unsafe, red tagged, and the electricity and water and were turned off.
